Waiting For The Deluge To Come
(Words and Music by Bradley Blyth. Copyright 2024)
I spend my time searching for a sign
Of the storm that’s bound to come
Tryin’ to divine when the stars align
Waiting for The Deluge to Come
But it’s speaking without listening
Yet surprised that one can’t hear
It’s leaning on a shovel
And praying for a hole to appear
While I’m just standing here
Surveying all my fears
But to my eyes the skies couldn’t be much clearer
Still I’ll dig my soul a hole to crawl into
The Summer’s gone.. The September Song grows nearer
And I stand accused of time misused and what I should’ve done
Waiting for The Deluge to Come
To my mind this life couldn’t be much dearer
Still I know there’s not soul that’s not just passing through
But to my surprise the answer comes much clearer
We’ve so much to do.. Me and You…
Before our time is through
Waiting for The Deluge to..
Come along we’ll sing a song
The clouds have gone
The kettles on
Just me and you
We’ve things to do
Let’s dance til Dawn
Waiting for The Deluge to Come

WHAT CAN YOU DO? (YOU CAN GROOVE!!)
(Words and Music By Bradley Blyth. Copyright 2024)
No vision
No color
No sister
Just “Other”
Bad karma
Good intention
Hi drama
No comprehension
Bright minds
Dark days
Smooth talk
Course ways
What can you do
You Can Groove
Small profit
Big heathen
He’s staying
She’s leaving
Full seats
Empty pockets
Mean streets
You gotta lock it
What can you do
You can groove
It’s up to you
You can groove
Time flies
Go slow
Make it up as you go
No need to worry
You worry so
And before you know
You Can Groove
What can you do
You Can Groove
No worry
No hurry
No trauma
No tension
No…
None to mention
What can you do
You Can Groove
It’s up to you
You Can Groove
Time lies
Go slow
Soak it up as you go
No need to hurry
You hurry so
And before you know
You Can Groove
No problem
No worry
No crisis
No hurry
No trauma
No tension
No…
None to Mention

THE BALLAD OF THIS OLD GUITAR
(Words and Music by Bradley Blyth. Copyright 2024)
He saw her standing in a window
Startled by the way she made him feel
It took him several days to approach her
And fashion words he hoped might close the deal
And though he hadn’t too much money
He’d have her even if he had to steal
Alive in a Dream of Wood, Bone, and Steel
He took her home and sat her on the sofa
Gazed at her awhile while she grew bored
He wasn’t sure exactly how to hold her
And struggled hard to form a basic chord
But my how they danced in the mirror
My oh my how she made him feel
Alive in a Dream of Wood, Bone and Steel
His parents smiled and said “Son You’re dreaming!”
But to him It was all that was real
A Dream to believe in
Dressed in Wood, Bone and Steel
His friends all said “Man you’re dreaming!”
Finish school, get a job, close some deals
But he was already leaving
He’d packed a bag, a couple songs
And Wood Bone and Steel
And for 15 Years they went dancing
Playing for a bed and a meal
They were funny...She was pretty…and He was handsome
Even signed a record deal
And though he hadn’t too much money
His agent took from him all that he could steal
All but the Dream of Wood, Bone and Steel
He fell In love, settled down, had some children
Got a job, bought a house, and a car
Found a faith to believe in
Mom and Dad, sis and me… and that Old Guitar
And it’s been some time since they went dancing
Not since his pickin’ hand went bad
Sometimes he’d just hold her
And smile for a while about the times they had
Now she’s standing in the corner
With my room for a view
And I swear sometimes she’s asking me to hold her
And take her some place new
Some say I should sell her
I’d make good money in the deal
But you can’t sell a Dream made of Wood, Bone and Steel

I'M GONE
(Words and Music by Bradley Blyth. Copyright 2024)
You say you speak with Angels
But you dine on lesser things
You told me I could fly
Then you severed all my wings
And you say you’ve got big things to do
But you left them all undone
I told you to pick your poison
But you couldn’t choose just one
You say you crave connection
Yet you’re happiest alone
You say that love is fragile
While you’re busy throwing stones
And you ask me to be patient
While you medicate your fear
You tell me that you’re leaving
But you always wind up here
I’m Gone
Gone
Long Gone
You’re as gentle as a sparrow
You bear the wounded wing
You tell me that you’re growing
But you haven’t learned a thing
Your gravity allures me
It always draws me in
The black hole of human need
And then the nightmare begins again
If I’d half a spine I’d take what’s mine
But in all this time I couldn’t name just one
Not one
You’re much too dizzy from the hype
So high above the rest
Self satisfied you’re right
But before you know I’ve left
I’m Gone
I’ve half a mind to take what’s mine
But in all this time I couldn’t find just one
No Not One
You’re much too dizzy from the hype
Consumed by you’re own bliss
I’m taking back my life
You can keep the rest
I’m Gone
Gone
Long Gone
Long Gone

(HOT DANG) I WISH I WAS
(Word and Music by Bradley Blyth. Copyright 2024)
Hey you
Lord above
Is it true?
That You’re in love
Hot Dang I Wish I Was
How do you do
The glory of
I swear I’m through
With the blue hue of love
It’s all I knew
When I was in (Love)
Love Is …..
Laughing screaming scary dreaming
Always mourning with no warning
Over cautious ever nauseous
Juxtaposing overdosing
Overjoyed then paranoid
Dreams destroyed into the void
Love is always posing
Feelings showing
Never knowing
Coming going
Analyzing
Mesmerizing
Exorcising
Martinizing
Terrifying
Affair-erizing
Savoir faire-erizing
I’m begging you
Lord above
I want a new
Kind of love
One that’s true
And free of
The doom and gloom
Of when I loved
Hot Dang I Wish I Was
Hot Dang it’s been so long
I Wish I Was

THE GARBO ZONE
(Words and Music by Bradley Blyth. Copyright 2024)
A 2 x 4 secures the door
A sofa stood on end
A world outside has eyes on mine
But no one’s getting in
Hands tied justified
Inside of my home
Takes time but I find
I’m fine on my own
In my head The Walking Dead
Are planning they’re next meal
With all they do the can’t gnaw through
A fortress made of steel
Hands tied justified
I try to get along
I tried outside but I cried
On and On and On and On
Oh leave me alone
No one’s home
I’m in The Garbo Zone
You should know
I won’t go
I vant to be alone
Tongue tied..justified
No time for anyone
Turned out burned out
Tongues out I’m undone
Withdrawn I’m gone
Come on give me some
Safe space no place
This pace just goes On and On and On and On
Oh leave me alone
No one’s home
I want to be alone
No I won’t
No you don’t
I’m in The Garbo Zone
No I won’t
I want to be alone
I’m in The Garbo Zone
